I truly adore CVS. It’s great that I have a new outlet for my shopping urges and I don’t even have to spend much of anything! I end up getting so much stuff for so little money, it really makes me happy.
My CVS day consisted of going to two CVS stores and making two transactions at each store as follows:
CVS #1:
Transaction #1:
2 Alavert Citrus at 6.99
1 6-pack Boost Shakes 6.99
3 Essence of Beauty Gift Bags at 1.49
=25.44
-4 CVS coupon (4 dollars off of 20 dollar purchase)
-4 Alavert Coupon
-4 Alavert Coupon
-3 Boost Coupon
-2 CVS ECB from previous purchases
-5 CVS ECB from previous purchases
=3.44, and I got an 8 ECB for purchasing Alavert, a 5 ECB for purchasing the gift bags and a 1 ECB for some unknown reason.Transaction #2:
1 Boost at 6.99
1 Jergens Daily Glow Face Lotion at 5.99
1 Speed Stick 24/7 for Men at 3.99
=16.97
- .75 Jergens manufacturer’s coupon
-1 CVS Jergens coupon

=3.22, and I got a 3.99 ECB for the Speed Stick
CVS #2:

=20.97
-3 Boost Coupon
-4 Alavert Coupon
-4 Alavert Coupon

So, all in all:
Money Spent out of pocket: .43+.97+3.22+3.44=8.06
Savings: 32.00+17.75+33+22.58=105.33
In case you were wondering, that is a 93% savings! And I have 18.99 in ECB for next time I go to CVS, which is a very nice start!
See why I love CVS so much? All this, for less than ten dollars!:
My morning wasn’t so bad either, actually. I went to Walgreens to have our color ink cartridge refilled. They only charge 10 dollars for black ink and 15 for color, which is a much better deal than buying new cartridges. After dropping it off and being told I had 15 minutes, I decided to head over to Whole Foods and buy Alex some organic bananas. The cashier was so nice and Alex just loved him. Simple things like that always make me feel better about the world.
When I returned to Walgreens to pick up the ink, I was told that there was a problem. Apparently, even after he filled it up, and tried twice, the yellow ink was not coming out. He said that it could be clogged, but because it wasn’t working properly they couldn’t charge me. So, free ink from Walgreens! Sure, the color prints are a little funky looking, but I am only using it to print coupons anyway!

Wow - that’s really great! I haven’t been able to find those essence of beauty bags yet - and probably won’t before the May ECB sale. Oh well - great savings for ya!
