    Foreboding, but beautiful…

  2. on July 1, 2008 at 10:39 pm ohmommy

    Wow… incredible. Very cool shot.

  3. on July 2, 2008 at 12:23 am pete

Looks like a lot of the weather we’ve been getting here in Florida. The best part of clouds like that are when they actually start pouring rain. I could watch a downpour for hours.

  4. on July 2, 2008 at 1:16 am Urban Thought

    Storm brewing?

    Nice shot!

  5. on July 2, 2008 at 1:18 am Red Lotus Mama

Gorgeous, if rather ominous sky… the kind I like to look at but want to see moving in the opposite direction. Lovely shot.

  7. on July 2, 2008 at 1:43 am Tiany

Amazing and scary all at once! I do love afternoon showers though :-)

  8. on July 2, 2008 at 2:06 am clarence

Looks pretty powerful. You could send it into the Cloud Appreciation Society.

Great picture- we have been getting hit a bit ourselves. A storm trashed my lilies this weekend in fact and threw them to the ground. Happy WW.

  11. on July 2, 2008 at 3:52 am Rizza

Methinks that would definitely qualify for the title “foreboding” sky!!!! Wow!

    Happy WW!

Oh, I love a good storm! I find the picture makes me want to take a nap. I am sure you did, but did you notice the little “light” in the midst of the trees? Very interesting.

Also, I posted a comment on your previous post. This is a MAJOR petpeeve of mine as well!

    Happy WW!

  46. on July 3, 2008 at 10:25 am Mojo

When you can actually see the frontal boundary you know you’re in for it. “Incoming” indeed! Nice catch!

  47. on July 3, 2008 at 10:50 pm Maggie

What a fantastic shot of the storm front — I’m totally jealous…I can never get such definition in the clouds in my shots!

  48. on July 7, 2008 at 3:02 am smarmoofus

Oh, that looks ominous. But I bet it was exhilarating (I love storms).
