Yoga, gymnastics, martial arts… just keep him active and constantly developing new physical skills. Gymnastics is one of the most valuable disciplines you can bring a boy up in. It provides a base on which the child can build virtually any other athletic skill. Unfortunately my parent’s didn’t know that and I had to find it out for myself later in life. There’s been much more to my life than model trains.
I'm Allison Barton, a 25-year old mother and Registered Nurse. I'm highly literal, occasionally moody, obsessed with Burt's Bees and compulsive about spreading butter perfectly onto toast. I am a wanna-be-Geek, loving all things Apple, and I hate competing with my friends. I am immensely loyal, not fastidious, and love to cook.
This is me, the one that isn't a wide-mouthed three-year-old:
My Family:
I live with my wonderful partner, Zach, and our beautiful baby boy, Alexander. Alex was born on August 28, 2007. He is the most amazing little person that I could have ever imagined knowing. Zach is a software engineer and hopes Alex will love computers as much as he does. We live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
This is my family:
Aren't they adorable?
What I Like:
I love Biology and all things related to health. I love baking cookies and bread from scratch, and trying new recipes. Shopping gives me pleasure, especially when I can buy things on clearance. I like warm weather, sunny days, and spending time outside. I love traveling and spending time with my family.
Tough to do a downward facing dog when your legs are that short, eh? (Or is that what that is? I don’t know from yoga…)
