I am so lucky.
Seriously.
I’m going to a friend’s house with a few people I’ve known since high school. We will drink. We will eat delicious food. We will play games. We will be merry. I will be a 20-something again.
Best of all? Alex will be with my Mother overnight. I can sleep in a bit in the morning, head to my morning dance class, and then come home to Alex.
Mama needs a break. And oh-how-happy she will be to see her charming little man in the morning.
I'm Allison Barton, a 22-year old new mother and student. I'm highly literal, occasionally moody, obsessed with Burt's Bees and compulsive about spreading butter perfectly onto toast. I am a wanna-be-Geek, loving all things Apple, and I hate competing with my friends. I am immensely loyal, not fastidious, and love to cook.

I live with my wonderful partner, Zach, and our beautiful baby boy, Alexander. Alex was born on August 28, 2007. He is the most amazing little person that I could have ever imagined knowing. Zach is a software engineer and hopes Alex will love computers as much as he does. We live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Oh. Yes. FireDad and I are planning a night away for our anniversary in December. (To Pittsburgh, WOO!) And, oh, I am so excited.
