I’ve only ever managed to keep one resolution. In ninth grade I decided I would no longer drink soda. I didn’t touch a drop of soda throughout the rest of high school, and to this day I will only drink one soda (diet) when it is mixed with vodka. Even that is a rarity.
This year I will keep my resolution. I have a plan. I have a goal. I will make it work.
This year I will get back to my pre-pregnancy weight.
For Christmas, I asked for a Weight Watchers membership. I also received a Wii Fit from Zach, so between Weight Watchers and Wii Fit, I will keep my resolution.
Today, my calves are sore from Wii Jane (my “fitness instructor” on the Wii Fit) and, while I am not starting Weight Watchers until Saturday when family leaves, I can see the change coming.

Good luck! I’ll be exercising with you. But, Jane scares me, so I left her at the store.

BTW your new hair color and style look great! I meant to leave you a comment about that before but somehow with a toddler running around and a baby demanding my attention I forgot =)

Dude, MY calves were sore from wiiFit, too. Too many balance games did me in… Pathetic, no?
Good luck with the resolution!

Good job on starting weight watchers. You’re going to do great. I lost 130 lbs on it. I still do it too. I think it is so livable. Anyways, good job.

Congratulations … you have a goal and are prepared.
I don’t know what I’m going to do.
I want to lose some lbs too … but I don’t have a plan … I know I need to add exercise … thought about the wii fit … maybe I will get one but I haven’t heard good things … but if you say you like it .. I’m sure I will.
Right now I want so much to do some exercise but my lungs are sore from the coughing … fluid in my lungs frightens the hell outta me … I was a severe asthmatic when I was young … and when the cold moves to my lungs I practically become a zombie … don’t want to end up in the hospital.
Can’t wait to be healthy again…. getting there, getting stronger every day … I think tonight I may be able to sleep lying down!
So happy for you … very happy.

I don’t drink soft drinks, either! But then again … I don’t actually LIKE soft drinks.
As for the resolution – good for you! And as for the Wii Fit – I’m totally jealous and want one!

Your having given up soda is inspirational! I can’t drink anything with carbonation these days, or alcohol, or caffeine. I didn’t drink that stuff too often, but they were cupfuls of true joy when I did have them. I’ve been really frustrated by it (there’s a lot more than soda, booze, and coffee that’s on my nono list) – but your declaration of a resolution has made me think differently. So, instead of looking at my diet restrictions as an evil unfair thing, I will look at them as something more akin to a New Year’s resolution. If you can live without soda willingly… I can too! We’ll be healthier together.
Best of luck with your resolution!

Those are great Christmas gifts! You’ll have to keep us posted about Wii Fit. I’m curious if it’s one of those “novelty” fitness crazes…or if it’s something that you’ll want to go back and do again and again…
Best wishes to you with your resolution!
P.S. I don’t drink soda either. Except for the occasional root beer.
