This is my (abridged) story:
I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I went to Winchester Thurston, a private K-12 school, graduated, and attended Smith College. During my third year, I managed to accelerate a semester. So, it was during my second to last semester (the end of my third year) that I found out that I was unexpectedly pregnant.
Alex was born in late August, ten days past his due date, and he is the love of my life. He is beautiful, charming, clever, and oh so sweet.
I live in Pittsburgh with my partner, Zach. He recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. Currently, he is working at CMU, and will start at Google Pittsburgh in August!
I am only a few credits shy of my degree, and will finish those in the fall here in Pittsburgh. I’d like to enter nursing school in either summer or fall of 2009. In one year, I will complete my second Bachelors degree and be able to work as an R.N. Once I figure out what I want to specialize in (so far the contesters are Women’s Health, Midwifery, Pediatric and Neo-natal) I’ll go on to get my Masters in Nursing and become a Nurse Practitioner.

Oops - sorry I meant Alison, forgive me I have spent the entire day at a farm with my daughters kindergarten class - and I have had no coffee :).
I think you’d be a wonderful nurse practitioner!
