Sarah is coming into town today, and I couldn’t be happier about it. I am so lucky to have someone as amazing as she is in my life. We have gone through a lot since we first met each other just over four years ago.
I’ll never forget the night we became friends. It was a bitter cold Halloween. We were dressed in our skimpy clothes, shivering at an outdoor party, which we were expecting to be great and was horribly disappointing. There was a small group of us, but there were many, many, clashes. Fighting ensued. Insults flew. Tears were shed. It was horribly dramatic. If girls had started ripping at one another’s hair and eyeballs I wouldn’t have been surprised. It was that kind of night.
But that awful night? Led to Sarah and I getting to know each other as we discussed the events the next day (and even a bit that night). We bonded, and that bond has grown exponentially over our time as friends.
Even though we live almost 600 miles from each other, don’t talk as much as we would like, and aren’t able to visit nearly enough, we have stayed as close as ever.
And I’m still trying to convince her to move to Pittsburgh.
